New drive appeared my computer2/25/2023 ![]() Nothing else that turned up seemed relevant. I tried Google already and I saw something about Windows 10 creating a recovery partition the first time you upgrade from 7/8 to 10, but I upgraded last year and this just appeared today. ![]() It says to change permissions in the security tab, but there is no security tab in the properties window. ![]() (I assume the letter isn't relevant, but hey, who knows how computers really work.) It says it has 470MB free of 496MB and that I don't have permission to access it, even if I click "continue" with the little administrator shield symbol on it. This morning when I booted up I happened to go in to My Computer to pull some files off an external drive, and suddenly there's an additional partition there called ESP (F:). I set it up without partitions, and until this morning the only drive that would show up in My Computer was C: (other than external drives). ![]() It did come with Windows 8 or 8.1, but I upgraded to 10 right away. I've been running Windows 10 on this laptop for the past year. ![]()
